Success the Softcat way
There's a uniqueness to Softcat – what we do, how we do it and why we do it. That's because we help customers to use technology to succeed, by putting our employees first. We give everyone the chance to step up and show how much they can achieve. We succeed when all our people succeed.
Develop a deep understanding of Softcat's social value initiatives and map them against recognised social value frameworks
About the role...
Social Value is a rapidly growing and increasingly critical influence on the IT industry. It is paramount in the thinking of many Softcat customers and a key differentiator in their selection of a long-term strategic partner.
We are seeking a Social Value Officer to lead and enhance our social value offering. This role is critical in helping our customers understand the social value impact of their IT investments and in aligning our internal social value initiatives with recognised measures.
The successful candidate will also build and nurture relationships with third-party organisations, enabling us to influence social value policy and develop a strong network of partners for local delivery.
The role will report to our Knowledgebase Manager as part of our well-established and highly successful Bid Function
As Social Value Officer, you'll be responsible for:
- Working closely with customers to help them understand our social value offering and identify the most appropriate social value measures for their projects
- Supporting the Bid Team and Sales Functions in specific customer Bids, helping to sign-post appropriate Social Value measures and informing the creation of suitable processes to deliver and measure the outputs
- Work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g. sustainability, charity leads, recruitment) to understand stand-alone and company-wide initiatives and develop ways to capture these
